At Trust AI ("we", "our", or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines how we handle your data, with a specific focus on our Local-First approach.
1. Where Your Data Lives
Local Storage (Audio)
Your audio recordings are stored 100% locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or archive your raw audio files on our servers or databases. If you delete the app or lose your device, your audio recordings will be lost unless you have your own backup.
We collect minimal data to provide the service:
- Account Info: Email, name, and generic avatar for authentication.
- Transcribed Text: The text output (transcripts, summaries) is stored in our secure database to allow you to sync text notes across devices.
2. How AI Processing Works
To provide our core features, we use third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) for:
- Transcription: Converting speech to text.
- Summarization: Creating notes from transcripts.
Important: Your data is sent securely for processing and is immediately discarded by the AI provider after the task is complete. We do not use your data to train public AI models.
3. Data Security
Your Text Data
Text notes stored in our cloud are protected by strict Row Level Security (RLS). Only your authenticated user account can access them.
Your Audio Data
Since audio never leaves your device (except momentarily for processing), it remains as secure as your physical phone.
4. Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party services for:
- Authentication: (e.g., Apple, Google Auth) to log you in.
- Analytics: Aggregated, anonymous usage data to improve app performance (e.g., crash reporting).
5. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
